Helping children make stronger connections through cooperation

Do your students ever feel down because of friendship worries?

Navigating friendships at school can be tricky! At primary school, children are just starting to stand on their own two feet and make decisions for themselves. It's a time when children are figuring out who they are independently and within their growing social circles.

Making strong connections at primary school is a big part of building an identity, and children's social and emotional skills play a big role in this.

In this interactive activity, your students will learn all about the skill of cooperation, to build an understanding of how to navigate social group dynamics.

You can use this at the front of the class and ask students what they think the best actions are, or invite students to practise on their own. This activity can also be a great conversation-starter for the class or between students to help them reflect on their learnings.
