Kay Watts Development Manager, Facilitator
Kay comes from a background in Health and Wellbeing. Given her passion for children’s health, Kay was excited by the Smiling Mind philosophy and the simple, practical tools designed to allow each individual to look after their own minds. Becoming part of the team was an opportunity she felt she could not miss when she officially came on board in January 2015.
Following a degree in Social Administration, Kay began her working career in the not-for-profit sector with the renowned UK organization, Help The Aged. This involved running educational campaigns through schools resulting in fund-raising events. Kay is a qualified meditation and mindfulness teacher, and over the years, has investigated and practiced many different mediation techniques.
For the past 15 years, Kay has been a Complimentary Medicine Practitioner and established The Children’s Natural Medicine Clinic in Melbourne. She has also been on staff as a lecturer at the Southern School of Natural Therapies.
A mother of three adult children, Kay sees mindfulness and meditation as the most exciting tool available, to enable young people to stand in their full potential at every stage of their lives. Joining Smiling Mind was a natural fit for Kay to share her passion of mindfulness.
